JP first came to the attention of the industry as the frontman of British rock band Grace who signed to EMI and released the album Detours in 2006. After the band split up in 2008, JP began a solo career that led to him teaming up in 2009 with Chrissie Hynde to form JP, Chrissie and The Fairground Boys. They released the album Fidelity! in 2010 on their own label La Mina and toured the US performing in a number of festivals including Lollapallooza.

Following the completion of his tours with Hynde, JP has been developing his first solo release titled Son of Jack, it features the production talents of former Beth Orton and Nick Cave collaborator Victor Van Vugt and up and coming British producer Sam Miller.

While progressing the album, JP has also been working with various writers to develop songs for other artists. Already a combination with the team at Metrophonic Studios and the artist Nell Bryden yielded the track Sirens, which was placed on the Radio 2 A-list and was personally endorsed by Gary Barlow. Further cuts are expected in the near future.

JP will release his debut solo album 'Son of Jack' via 429 Records (a division of Universal) in the US & UK in April. JP will be main support for The Proclaimers on their US tour in the Spring.
